On Mother’s Day (May 10th), Emma’s 10th tooth appeared. Emma has had several doctor appointments and they now have a game plan in place to help combat all the infections Emma has been having. They are going to put her on an antibiotic one a month so that infections can’t start. Come to find out, this is not uncommon with kids that have the band to keep everything down. So, we learn more. Robin has been busy keeping on top of all the necessary paperwork in order to have medical help for Emma. So, just another thing for Robin to do. There were a couple of days that were very frustrating, but when Robin finally got through to a supervisor, she was able to get results. Emma is beginning to sleep longer during the night which helps Robin. Emma is very active. She likes to be on the floor and moving. Just beware! If she sees something she wants, she will get it. Emma has even learned how to get ahold of her feeding tube so that she can chew on it. Emma is becoming quite strong and has a good grip. She is quick to grab anything she sees. Not much else new at the moment, but thought I should update to let you know how Emma was doing. Thanks for all your prayers and support.
Love, Grandma Carol
