Emma is getting ready to celebrate her second birthday (April 7th)!
We have had a couple of rough weeks, but I think we are on the mend.  Emma has the very contagious C.Dif. infection again.  (The one that causes stomach problems and diarrhea.)  But knowing the symptoms and how Emma was reacting, Robin was able to catch it early and we have managed to keep Emma home.  Emma has her moments when she is fussy, but getting her on the medicine has helped.  There are still times that she just wants to cuddle.  Emma is learning new sounds.  She has developed the cutest giggle and excited squeal.  If Michelle is laughing, Emma starts and then the two can’t stop – one sparks the other.  Emma’s squeal comes when Daddy is playing with her.  She still loves to cuddle and give kisses.  Emma is continuing with several therapies.  She has progressed to a development of a 6 month old.  She is starting to put finger foods into her mouth.  She knows exactly where it goes.  If you have something on a spoon, she opens her mouth to say yes I want it.  She will even reach for the spoon or other food you are handing to her.  If she gets ahold of it between her thumb and finger, she even manages to get it into her mouth by herself.  Robin said that this year Emma will be able to dig right in to her cake.  So I will have pictures later this week.  We have had little steps this last year, but are thankful for everyone of them.  We are especially thankful for all the prayers and support we have gotten from everyone.  It has helped us all.
Love to all, Grandma Carol
